Posts: 157 | I got this e-mail this morning If you know anything send e-mail to: [email protected] hello, all. im sending this email to alert as many fishermen as i can about an incident that happened at my house on the night of thursday,April 1st, or the very early hours of April 2nd. as i slept upstairs in my house someone entered my home and stole about a dozen or more custom rods, all with the Jawbreaker custom fishing rods logo. these rods included custom shikari casting and spinning rods, some with shikari labels, a seeker 8', 60 lb trolling rod with daiwa regal plus 5000 BRI reel, st.croix 6' premier musky rod with 6500 garcia reel,8' st.croix tidemaster casting,7' st.croix mojo spinning rod, g.loomis musky rods, st.croix SC-V spinning and casting rods, calcutta 400 reel, green team daiwa S reel, one rod, a 7' split grip casting wrapped in black with metallic blue trim, also had "REZ" label on it. this was one of a matched set going out to a young tournament fisherman on my pro staff. i believe these rods to be in either the lower wisconsin-racine area, the northern wisconsin-park falls area, or in the ironwood/wakefield area of upper michigan. im attaching what few photos i have of some of the rods taken as well as my logo that is (or at least was) on these rods. while i cant offer a big reward like i would like to in order to bring these thieves to justice, i can guarantee anyone that finds one of these that will lead back to the perpetrators of this crime will come away with one of the most awesome custom rods to ever hit the water. please pass this along to your friends, family, and any one else you know who fish's. with spring here i think these will be circulating fairly fast and who knows where they may turn up. one thing is for sure, it wasnt an ethical sportsman that commited this crime. lets try to put these thieves where they belong. thanks in advance to all who read and forward this, and here's wishing each and every one of you a great year on the water. Posts: 3240 Location: Racine, Wi | That flat out sucks. I live in Racine, so I'll keep an eye out down here to see if hear or see anything. With some of those spinning rods, I may just see guys on the river down here with them. Can I ask why he suspects they might be in the Racine area if not the other locations? Either way, I'll keep an eye out. I was planning on taking my girls to see the 'bows by the river today anyway, so it gives us something to look for besides fish. Sorry to hear about that.

Were the rods in sight through a window? If not, it is more than likely someone who has been in your house a short time ago who did the crime, or acting as an accomplice. Edited by Baby Mallard 4/9/2010 9:03 AM

Posts: 157 | I do not know the details, just received the e-mail and thought I would post it here to help Nick out. I am not sure why, he suspects those areas and yes he is from the Park Falls area and yes again he needs a kimber, and needs to visit the timber in St. Louis County!!! It could be a northland adventure

Location: SE Wisconsin | Kimber, as in the pistol. . . But timber?? So he suspects certain areas, I'm assuming he has gut feelings who's to blame. One thing is for sure, if it were any of those he may suspect, they sure made a long drive.

Posts: 1030 Location: APPLETON, WI | I will keep my eyes open, as well. Might be a good idea to browse Craigslist and eBay as mentioned earlier... usually those dumb enough to steal, are also dumb enough to try and sell the stolen merchandise directly afterwards. Good luck to you!!

Posts: 665 Location: Twin Cities, MN | man that sucks, I thought I had it bad when somebody stole my brand new Cabelas insulated jacket while I was in church about 2 months ago. I know my jacket never showed in craigslist, but I will watch for these.

Posts: 189 Location: West Bend, WI | Unfortunately no, I hope the little info I had helps. I had $500 worth of musky stuff stolen at a boat landing in Green Bay a few years back. Still pretty angry about it. I hope the guy gets caught. Even worse having someone in your house.

Posts: 929 Location: Rhinelander. | never caught those that stole all my stuff and it was thousands of dollars worth. I don't think the police in the area I lived at the time took it too serious and that really peeed me off. Pfeiff

mrmatt- have you ever contacted Ashwaubenon public safety? They busted a guy a few years back with thousands of dollars of stuff(an attic full) and I know from VERY good sources they still have alot of unclaimed stuff. If you filed a complaint give them a call and see. For that matter, if anyone had stuff stolen in Green Bay during "the spree" like 3-4 years ago give them a call.
