Wish some of the baits donated actually went to the Vets to fish with.

That's what these baits are going to. You should try reading what was wrote. What a stupid, ignorant, statement.

All of the donations either will go directly to the vets to fish with and/or they are used to sell and support the trip. 100% goes to them, no $1million salaries, bonuses, extravagant lake homes will be used with the funds as I understand it

A lot of lure companies are donating for various aucitons as well as sending tackle to the event for the Veterans. All is good!

there is a LOT of gear donated directly to the vets on the trip each time, including these Glittertails. on OM1 and OM2, each vet went home with at least 20 lures, a custom cooler, and a nice rod/reel combo. this year will be the same.
if you visit the Operation Muskie website, you'll notice a couple of the thumbnail pics in particular - one of a vet with a double-armful of gear, and another showing a sampling of rod/reel combos...

many of the same folks who donated to the auction, also donate to the vets up on the trip, plus quite a few others. Operation Muskie is very fortunate to have that kind of generous support.

i've attached a pic of the "pile" getting sorted prior to the vets arrived.

Guest is just simply naive, no big deal! We go plenty to fish with and way more. It was better than any christmas I had ever had, but don't tell my mom

Good to set some of these guys up with some gear. From what I saw on the First Bite TV show, it looks like some of the guys aren't regular Muskie fisherman. So hopefully this experience can get them hook and they will leave with a good starter selection of baits and a rod and reel combo.

What kind of combo do they each get???
