| I bought a power handle for my 401TE. I'm pretty sure I have the right handle, but I am having a problem. Once I put it on the star drag actually hits the handle when I adjust the drag.
It barely rubs it, but it does.
Has anyone else had this problem? Did I install ti wrong?
Thanks |

| The only handles I have used are the trinidad 14 handles, the only time they rub is when I back the drag all the way off. What model power handle are you using? |

| it happens on mine, too when it's all the way out. you should still be able to turn it.
i lock my drags down tight and leave them, so it's never been a functional issue for me. it might make it harder if you wanted to adjust it during the fight. the upside of using the power handle far outweighs this slight mis-fit.

| it is the Trinidad handle, and it is as you describe. I agree that it probably won't be a functional issue. I really just wanted to make sure I didn't do something wrong. |

Location: MN | If you are concerned you can always bend/bow the handle slightly too |

| Go to this link and check out the 2nd picture from the bottom. These guys recessed my (2) power handles and now they don't rub. They also cleaned my reels and did a bearing upgrade and they did it fast.

| i got my handle recessed by Dave's Reel Service as well, they did a great job and it should solve the problem of stripping out the nut.
i've got a Tekota power handle and even with it milled to create the extra room to secure the nut it still rubs slightly on the star drag due to the bend in the handle. again, no big deal since once it's set, it's set.
