| Anybody have any suggestions on how to replace broken lips on these. I know i cant get exact replacements, but would like to know if anybody replaced any with new grandma lips. Thanks |

Location: Chicago | I have it was a very tedious process. Had to incorporate a small drill bit to get the rest of the old lip dislodged enough to insert the new one. Even still then I had to cut some of the length off the new one to insert it. Epoxied it up and bait was back in business. Now that I remember the middle of the lip where there's the slotted part that slips in on the bottom is a little thicker than the M9 slot so you have to shave and fit till it slides in . |

I mill new lips out of solid Lexan. They are the exact same size as the originals but extra tough. |

| if you can find the very first year copys of essox angler Im not sure which month,,,maybe a buddy has them??? there is an article specificly about replacing lips on original M-9 grandma baits and it takes you through the process step by step,,,,I have about 43 original grandmas,,,dont use em when the water temp dips below 50 the lips were known to break hitting the cold water when casting
