I've had this certain Cady weagle for many years, and absolutely love it, but am really wanting to get it back to "original condition" if possible. I know there are several artists that could probably do it successfully, but wondering if anyone could recommend someone. The only real requirement is that it be a finished weight the same as it was new so the action is the same. I've had buddies that have had this done and were quite disappointed with the action, not the finish, after they got it back. If you don't think it's possible, or unlikely that it will run the same, I will just leave it as is. Thanks for any help.

"I will just leave it as is" I would, the fish seem to like it the way it is. You can also put some nail polish over the bear wood to help seal it.

Mike King (Kingfisher) is your man. He repaints Cady Weagles with a surgeons care because LOVES them and he understands weight is everything!! That being said if he has the time is another thing, still ask him he may be able to point you in the right direction.

Kingfisher repainted one awhile ago and sold it on here. It was a beautiful bait (rainbow trout) I think, he made shure it was the exact weight it was supposed to be also.

Done about a dozen for friends and no complaints so far. Key is to seal the wood good and a couple light coats (or one thicker one) of epoxy. Kingfisher does good work.
