this is to all the rod builders on this forum , do the factory decals come on the blank , or do they just send it with the blank seperately ?? say i was to buy a 8'6" premier blank from St.Croix , would i be able to not have the decal( rod specs ) on the blank ??? , kinda don't want anything but the builders decal if anything on the rod blank , like to have it look stealthy !!!

, anyhow , would appreciate the feedback !!!!

I have had numerous rods built by Dadson rod's from loomis, diamondback, st croix to name a few they never had spec labels on them from the company...BR

A sticker comes with the blank and it's up to the buyer/builder if they want to put it on....(the decal is not the same as store bought models)

And it varies by rod company. Some send decals, some, the info is printed directly to the blank from the factory. All of the Loomis and St. Croix blanks I've built on come with decals, which can be trimmed if desired to omit the blank info.

this is good to hear . i was wondering if i want the handle longer , would it run into the decal and look cheesy . i know the handles on St.Croix's premier 8'6" xh rod is long but i want to have my rod built on the blank , and was looking at a 18" or so handle . thank you guys so much for the good info you all have provided in all my posts , wish my bass forums were like this

You get 2 decals with the blank, one pre-attached about an inch from the butt end (so you can identify the blank before it is built on) and one unattached you can put anywhere on the blank or throw away. Nobody builds the same length handles so they keep the pre-attached label where it will be covered up by cork once the rod is built and you can place the other decal wherever you want.

thanks , that way the rod is gonna be all black (black thread wraps , eva split grips , and a Fuji ACS reel seat . the only color it will have will be the blue rings in the guides !! gonna be stealthy and sexy !!!
