Looking to help my girlfriend catch her first musky. Last year was her first year trying for a muskie but she didn't end up landing any. We went to Pewaukee for 2 days and she had a couple follows and also to the UP of Michigan where she again had a couple follows. This year I'm trying to plan a guide trip to Pewaukee during the end of May/beginning of June with hopes of her catching a ski. She is really pumped to go fishing this year and I know how excited she will be if she catches a muskie

Unfortunately, price is a factor (in college lol) so lower rates would be a plus. Here's who i have found so far... any others?

I think you would have a really tough time beating Mike's Extreme on that lake. I fish it twice a week all summer long and he's the only one I am afraid of getting embarrassed by in a tournament out there. I'd say Mike owns that lake. Marty Forman

Mike Extreme would be my choice, he is dialed into the fish and is on the lake daily, heck he live couple hundred feet from the boat landing. He is very versatile in presentations, he is an excellent troller too.

Mike is a good pick, pretty BOLD statment to say he "OWNS THE LAKE" tho.
Jim Dembic would be another good choice. He been fishing out there daily over the past 20 plus years.
Carful on going cheep! There are plenty of guides out there who are willing to take you for a boat ride. Better off saving for a little longer and fishing with someone who is worth the $$

Lots of guides on Pewaukee Lake to choose from. I am very flattered by some of the posts here. The "OWNS THE LAKE" is over the top. I am just one of the guide that is on the water all the time.

I grew up fishing Pewaukee all my life and fish it all year long. Some of my best scouting comes during the winter months. Gin clear water under the ice makes it easy to learn bottom content when the weeds are down.

I would reccomend the talking to a few of the guides and going with the one that you will have the most fun with, learn the most, and catch the fish your after.

Joel is a fish catching machine everywhere he goes and knows Pewaukee. Jim Dembic is on the water almost every day and knows it very well. Roy Hinkforth knows Pewaukee very well. John Regal is also on Pewaukee most of the time now. Dan Bush is another choice.

Lots of guides to choose from. Prices are all within $50 bucks or so for a half day so price is not the issue or at least should not be the deciding factor. Hire the guide that will make your "First Muskie" a fun time plus a learning experiance.

I would recommend Mike Caldarazzo. Besides being an excellent guide he also has a great sense of humor and is someone that you will enjoy your time with! He is a fellow Guides Choice Pro Staff member out of Eagle River, WI but he specializes in the waters of southern WI. You can reach him at 1 630-779-8554.

If you want to learn lot about the sport while fishing, Mike Koepp will give you it all. Casting or trolling, Mike is on top of his game in the boat.

I've fished with a couple of these guys. I could probably put you on a few spots. You have a boat? I can bring my own fishing poles and some sandwiches.

The meat on that batch has long since turned. Lambeau never forgave me. LOL. They would have been great.
