Posts: 6 Location: Southeastern Wisconsin | I think I'm going to freak out soon !!!!! 55 and sunny and still at least a foot of ice on my area lakes. I'm go through boat withdraws. Next year I think the boat stays in the garage and my wifes jeep stays outside. Then it won't be shrink wrapped. This way I can at least sit in it and pretend to be on the water. Get this 50 more days until opening weekend up here in Wisconsin. I think I'm going to bang my head on the wall for a while. Deuces'

Posts: 32926 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The warm stuff is forecast through next week up here, then back into the deep freeze. Just enough warm weather to totally screw up the Ice while it freezes back up just in time to stop the lakes from opening up.Ruined my favorite ice fishing time of the year, big time.

Posts: 32926 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | We still have ice, it just isn't going to be drivable, and soon will have open water around the edges. The bull gills we are into are about a mile out....too far to walk in ankle deep water. This stinks.

Posts: 547 Location: Oshkosh | The lake is still frozen here, but the river is open and people are already out in boats fishing for walleyes. Not very often that at the same time you can see a bunch of trucks on the ice and people fishing out of boats. Peter

Surely something that swims around in there is legal now. Get out your hip boots and light tackle.

Posts: 6 Location: Southeastern Wisconsin | Spent a few hours fishin walleyes on the river over the weeked. Fished from shore no boat. I did unwrap the boat and started installing some Bluewater leds on decks and in compartments. Looks really nice and think will function even better.
