Here's the article that was released in the Cass Lake Times today.
Allan Olson, Cass Lake Times reporter, met with me last week and was eager to hear my side of the story regarding the Cass Lake spearing issues. I want to thank him for making time to hear our story.
The article can be seen here:

There were alot of people that have spent the better part of the last 3 months working on this issue. Shawn Kellet, John Underhill, Muskie Inc members thoughout the country, and most importantly the people on here and other sites that aren't afraid to make a stand.

Impressive data in that article, someone has been doing their homework. I expected a more favorable article on the Nanook of the north side. Good job Kevin and Shawn.

It's good to see an article like this, especially after the last one they published on the subject. Thanks for taking the time to sit down with the reporter, Kevin. The work you've been doing on this matter is appreciated. Like Kevin mentioned though, thank you to everyone that has tried to make a difference, whether it's attending meetings, talking to people, sending emails, making phone calls, they all add up. This one is far from over.

If you feel like thanking the reporter for printing this article I am sure he wouldn't mind.

DC, tjat was actually my comment. Wasn't signed in. I will be at the next Bemidji/Cass Lake (CLIFS) meeting up here. The president of the local chapter said that they are watching Monster Quest, the musky edition, to show all that are present. Then I heard "If it was on TV then it has to be real." He is trying to keep the focus on muskies being the "bad guy" and not addressing the real issue.

Kev, great work! I know the FM chapter is behind you and anti-spearing 110%. A lot of the newer generation of guides mean well and talk about conservation - Myself included. Your work is inspiration for the rest of us to do more than just talk! Again, great job man!!!

you got that about right hooker. I might have to go to the meeting, since I don't have cable, I haven't seen the monster quest show.

I thought they were trying to open spearing, not fight a battle against muskies.
How is this even related?

Monster Quest as part of their 'scientific' studies!?!??! Haha.. Might as well have Enquirer on your side for some 'facts'. The thing is about that show is they embellish to try and make it entertaining.

hey this is the best thing that can happen for minnesota muskies. once the lies, letters and extreme views are made public everyone will finally see what's really going on with the darkhouse leadership and hopefully the more reasonable members (and there are many) will stand up to this and we'll see a changing of the guard.

Sorry Kevin don't want to confuse you with that group, my bad. I think we need to bring up bigfoot, and dogboy and maybe Nessy.
The lies these guys with the MDAA are coming up with are getting sickening. Down in our neck of the woods (tetonka) Erv and the MDAA initiated the proposal and said they supported it and guess what, now they are the major opponents to it. I'm sick of being treated like a pike in a spear hole, stabbed in the back.

I'm not sure that having them there is a bad thing. Publicity about the spearing could be a good thing if done right. There are many people that don't know how bad the spearing has hurt lakes in Wisc. and Minn.

Did they ever end up showing that 'Monsterquest' episode of Muskies at the Meeting?
because this mourning(sunday) on Monsterquest they said that there were over 100 sightings of werewolfs in wisc .
maybe we should tevo that one and present it has a 'lesser of two evils' theme,,wisc puts up with lycantropy Minnesotans should be happy with esox maquinonngy,
do the NA's get to spear werewolfs????

I don't think so. Not sure when the next meeting of CLIFS is but they said it is being shown then. I didn't get my invite yet.
There may not be another meeting if this thing gets killed by the House tomorrow at the State Capital.
