| I am curious to know what the average cost is for a trip to LOTW. To make it simple forget about travel expenses as well as food as that can be a big varient for differetn groups. Just you housekeeping cottage cost per man. I know most bring their own boats as well as feed themselfs as time on the water is more important then food.
Thanks, |

| TM,
I've spent from $30 to $65 per night per person. Last time there, 2000, was at Red Wing in Morson. $600 for the week lodging(housekeeping), $14 Ramp fees, $40 docking. That was for the wife, my 9 yr old Eric(at the time), and me in a 2 BR cabin. Very decent facilities. The lodge closes early, and don't even think of playing pool when they're eating!
Was going to go this year to Sabskong Bay Lodge. $50 per night, per person. New owners that I met last fall during a houseboat trip. Very nice people, new lodge, great location on an island. They're remodeling all the cabins. I am definately going there next year.
Talk with GregM and JoMusky. They should have just gotten back from the Souix Narrows portion.
Tight Lines,
Shep[:sun:] |

| Two years ago when I didn't have a boat my wife and I stayed at Wiley Point in Big Narrows. Very expensive! but fun. They treat you like a king. Anything you could possibly want for food, cook to order breakfast, steaks, shore lunch on the beach every day, etc. Show up at the dock and someone was there to tie up your boat, clean your fish, re-fuel your boat, carry your gear to your room, etc. Boat was a brand new 18ft Lund with electronics, radio and 50hp four stroke. All-in including a hefty bar bill, I think we were about $2200 for two people. |

| Staying at Mylie's Place or Buena Vista Resort out of Morson will usually cost you around $20/day in lodging if you have at least 4 guys ... I've been going up there several times a year for 3 years and haven't spent more than $250 total for 5 day trips (including gas, food, lodging, docking, ramp, etc - beer is another story).
You don't need to spend a fortune on lodging if you're going to be on the water 14 hours of your day anyway.
