Posts: 615 Location: Madison, WI | I pulled these two off the wheel this morning and added the last paint touches and eyes. They need the final clear coats and the lip and they should be ready to go. These are the most complicated patterns I've attempted (last April I built my first bait). The crappie pattern was inspired by a post on this site (Danczyk I belive, Thanks your work is unbelievable!!!!) it's a complicated pattern. Please post your comments, Thanks, MS Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Really nice on both baits. How do you get that crappie pattern.

Posts: 615 Location: Madison, WI | thanks for the kind comments guys! MuskyFix, I took a photo of a crappie profile and placed stensil material over the photo and painfully cut out the black spots/shapes. then I sprayed black over pearl white and pearl silver using the stencil, cleared the bait and used the stencil again to spray pearl gold over the top 1/3 of the original black spots. Hope that answered your question, Thanks for looking, MS

Posts: 619 Location: Verona, WI | You are way ahead of me and I have been airbrushing for a while. I like that perch - I have never figured out how to do that scaling on the perch stripes without bleeding onto the bait.

I have made a 8 new wood jerk baits over this winter and I don't know how to finish them. I would like to paint them right so the finish doesn't come off after I catch one fish. I don't have a air brush either, so any help I can get from a experienced painter would help me out a ton. Thanks as
