Hey everyone I need some imput from all of you! A good friend of mine has become director of the Tomahawk Chamber of Commerce and I have planted the idea of bringing back the tournament which was around for many years but ceased a few years ago for whatever reason. Lakes fished would most likely include Mohawksin, Nokomis, and Alice. What are the main reasons YOU fish tournaments ( big cash payout is obvious) and what are the biggest draws or drawbacks that you have seen. Specifics for this tournament have yet to be established and all info is greatly appreciated. Please take a few minutes and get the ball rolling!!
Thanks, Dave Jonesi

I used to be the Master of Ceremonies for that event, it was a very good time and well run. I'd go to the CPR format, and the MAC will loan you the boards for the process and assist any way you need, gratis.

Hey Dave, I fish tourneys for the fun of it, to meet new people, talk B.S. and have a good time. The higher payout is nice, but is usually accompanied by a higher entry fee. A lower entry fee will attract more fishermen/fisherwomen, like Hartmans Metro Tourney. A higher entry fee wont. With these economic times there are more people looking to fish the lower fee tourneys. If the mac would lower their entry fees, i think more people, including me, would fish it.

Just my 2c.

I would plan a vacation around something like this. What a perfect area to have an event like this. I agree with Suick Joe on this regarding the expense, if it's over $100 that's when problems start for me. I know I'm not the only person in a household that has a $100 rule.. At least I hope not!
