| Alright just booked my trip yesterday it will be my first time. I'd like to know from all of you that have been there your top lures. I've got more than enough I'm shure but I don't want to be one short. I seem to buy muskie lures like our goverment buys things. Why get one when you can spend twice as much and get 2. Thanks for all the input |

Location: madison chain | my first time was last year and my best bait was one that was never mentioned in all of the research i did before the trip. Rapala super shad. Second was fire tiger suick. Both were baits i did not think i would be using. |

Location: Stevens Point, Wisconsin | Keep it simple! Too many people try and complicate things. Before double 10’s came along there where many 50” fish caught on LOTW.
Buck tails are primary bait in traditional color patterns. When the water is dirty use bright colors, when clear use copper/red, black/silver, yellow/gold, and rainbow. If you like throwing double 10’s throw them! If you like throwing smaller bucks, throw them. Get the point! Last year the cooler water temps had me throwing smaller baits and I boated several over 49”. #5,7,9,10 blades all work just fine, I will admit that 10’s will convert more fig 8’s but smaller bucks in harsh conditions get bit more!
Top water keep simple and let the fish tell you what speed they want. Top raider is #1 bait in my book. Medium Low rider, globe, hawg wobbler, creeper. Bullfrog or black are best colors.
Throw in a few suicks, twitch baits in walleye pattern and your set.
If I had three baits to pick for a week… gold yellow buck tail, bullfrog top raider, crane twitch bait.

| Throw in a couple of large bass size spinnerbaits - my favorites are the old Blue Fox Biug Bass Spiinerbaits. For LOTW, use a #7 willow blade in plain nickel finish, and a chartruse and blue skirt. |

| Fished Sabaskong out of Youngs Resort for several years. Good fishing spots all around the area. Shumway Flashers, Grim Reaper Wildcat & Grinder spinnerbaits, 7 & 8" Cranes, Rapala Super Shads, and Top Raiders all produced for our group. Reef Hawgs if things were slow.
As others said, keep it simple. Keep a lure in the water and keep moving, hitting a lot of spots. Make minor adjustments based on fish activity levels. Don't overthink it on LOTW.

| I'll echo what others have said (heed Ed's/Musky Time's advice). Generally, whatever you throw will get bit.
I start with three rods rigged the following: double 10, Suick, Shallow Invader. Laying on the deck: Weagle, Hellhound/Manta/Squirko, Top Raider, Bulldawg/Curly Sue. That's it. I always bring lots of other stuff, but find myself rotating between those baits.
LOTW isn't a super difficult body of water to fish. I wouldn't get hung up on lures; get hung up on spots. The more spots you fish in a day the more likely you are to contact fish, and it won't matter what you're throwing. That's the beauty of LOTW. Finding good spots is 90% of the fun. Once you find a few, replicate, replicate, replicate. |

Location: East Central WI | Good luck, have fun, don't get up too early, seems like nothing really gets going before 10am on that lake anyway. Baits?... Bobbies & Reef Hawgs in black or black/orange. Chart/black bucktails & Topraiders & I think you have a real good start. |
