These couple of threads should be able to answer any questions you might have.

The POV1 is by far the best camera out there.

But if you look through those threads, you'll find numerous other options.

Ryan, I have the MP3 Technologies and Have never had a problem with it. I only paid like $120 for it! I feel it was well worth the money. Especialy when I remember to take it with me and then remember to turn it on! LOL!

anyone have any thoughts or experience with the new hat cameras for 2010?

i'm intriqued by the vHoldr 1080p, but can't see a good way to mount it on a hat for fishing purposes...and the short battery life is a huge limiting factor.

how about the VIO POV 1.5? good resolution but not HD, and using AA batteries seems a bit more user-friendly since you can carry multiple rechargables.

thanks!

Mike, I think the best option could possibly be to wear a visor instead of a hat and get the head-band clip for ski goggles. A visor might be too flimsy to support the 1080 though... and they look pretty gay.

They also have an actual headband in the accessories for the POV1.5 but I don't know if it's compatible with the 1080 headband clip.

The 1080 could be pretty sweet. Obviously there will be a tad more weight on you head vs. the POV. The AA batt's in the POV would definitely be better too. Hopefully soon they come out with the same style as the POV but in HD1080.

I drilled the bill on a MuskieFIRST hat and tie strapped a bracket that came with the VIO POV 1.5 to the bill. Nice unit, worked well for me this year. It'll go into use on the ice an a few days.
