I have reserved an island on Lake Minnetonka for a midday cookout and hang out!!!
Lake Minnetonka is approx. 14,000 acres of fishable water. Heavy recreation lake with ALOT of fishing spots. Busy time of year for the lake so middays will be spent off the water. Fishing will be at "Prime times" early mornings until 10 am and late afternoon/evenings until dark.

| I'm planning to come up from Rochester to fish Friday evening and Saturday morning with CMunger. I won't be able to make the cookout though as some family and friends are coming up and we are going to RibFest. Do you have a specific area we are all to meet at those times? Thanks. |

| Yup. I'm still planning to make the cookout, although if the cookout locale is several miles from the boat ramp, the no wake zone might turn it into a next day brunch.
D2E: I'm gonna try to pin the wife down on an arrival time. It might not be a bad idea to look at a map to try to coordinate some plans as far as meeting goes. As stated above, I'd like to catch the cookout, so maybe we can check the map and find a place close to that where I could pick you up on the water. Map (or detailed description) of cookout location? Anyone? Anyone? |

| spring park bay/launch is very near the island..
So is the Lake Minnetonka regional park ($5.00 fee)

| I got permission from my wife, but I can only stay until about 11:00 am. We have a birthday party to go to in the afternoon. I will be in a black 18' Tuffy.

I just printed out directions. Is there a sign on Shoreline Dr., or Interlachen that points to the launch. I have only fished Tonka once, and we launched out of Grey's bay.

| I scouted out the island where we're going to be having lunch at and found us a site. The island is Wawataso. Look on the south west side and there is a campsite w/ a rope swing. Note, this is not the one on the west side in the large bay. If you look on your map it is on the south west side of the lake North of Smithtown Bay. Water is WAY up so bring your anchors and be prepaired to get a little wet.
Was out last night and lost 2 VERY big fish. The weather should stablize by this weekend and provide a great time for everyone (assuming nobody hooks a jetskier [:p] , sorry couldn't resist [:bigsmile:] ). |

| Steve I live a half mile from Spring Park Bay launch. What radio frequecy will you be using? |

| Your on Komer. Although you'll probably smoke me with the electric. You've probably got at least 700# less going for you and I've had some battery issues. As far as the no-wake, it's only in certain bays and 600' from shore. You can still make time out there.
