Posts: 968 Location: N.FIB | I switched from power pro to cortland master braid last year, cortland cast easier and farther, more backlashes but they come out easy. The cortland seemed to fray faster also, power pro I had alot less backlashes, but when I did get one it was a bad one, also cortland seemed to hold more water than power pro.I put the 50lb camo stealth on my spring reel and that worked great for me last year,I only bought it because it was the cheepest and new I wouldn`t be using it for long if I didn`t like it.

I have used 80lbs tuffline, suffix, power pro, and bronze back. I use suffix on my speed reel. I usually use tuffline because I have never had a line failure ever. So why switch? I liked bronze back the least of all I have tried. Seems to be harder to take the backlashes out compared to others. Although that may be because it is on the rod my guest or kids use.

Posts: 485 Location: On my favorite lake! | Tufline xp and love it. I am going to try the cortalnd spectron on one of my reels this year. I tried Powerpro and the original spiderwire and didn't like them. The only complaint I have with tuffline is that sometimes the color will fade but it is a solid line other than that no fish losses which is the most important thing.

Posts: 203 Location: Germantown, WI | I've used Powerpro, Tuffline, Tuffline XP and Spiderwire Stealth. I did not like Powerpro for the same reasons others mentioned. My favorites so far are Tuffline XP and Spiderwire Stealth. The Tuffline XP seems to lose its color faster than I would like, but I like the line just fine. This year in addition to Spiderwire Stealth I am going to give some 80# Ugly Braid a try. I got a good deal on a spool of that through Overstockbaits.com. In general I try to balance performance with price and for that reason Spiderwire Stealth has got to be at or near the top of the list.
