I'm not even an old fart (yet and it's open to argument ) but I love the rods --are they still available to those that can't make show ? I need a 9ft , still priced at 130 ? Thanks MD

I can understand a skull decoration in connection with a motorcycle. That's what's left after the organ donation, but I just wonder why it would be chosen as decoration for a musky rod. I guess if "young bucks" like them, next year they could do dinosaurs, maybe Barney?

Just strikes me as an odd decoration for a musky rod, but then, if people buy the rods for the decoration rather than the action, hey, it's capitalism, give em what they want.

The rods look and feel really good... Matt showed them off at the Vermilion outing last summer........ What was really cool was the Crank bait (Krisco) he had that was done in the skull pattern, I'd like to have one of those......Hint,Hint, Mr. Snyder.
If I had a skull rod, my kids would fight over it, no doubt. I can hear it now..... Dad,, can I use the bad a$$ rod ?

I think it looks cool. I'd def prefer that finish over a boring black finish.

Just got back from the show. They had the skull rods and the skull pattern Kriscos. I didn't buy either, but I thought they looked pretty sweet.

Why'd they do it? For the same reason a dog licks himself. Because they can.
It's just one of the new cosmetics that are available, and if they can do it, let them play.

Is the skull pattern painted on if film dipped? EIther way it is an extra coating which will reduce sensativity not that that's really important on a musky rod.

Why? We thought they looked cool simple as that. Same type of thing as a fancy thread pattern on custom rods, not necessary but it makes them unique. fsf what “decoration” would you prefer? I like the Barney idea & a t-rex rod would be really cool, seriously there is only a limited amount of stock image options available for this process & custom images are cost prohibited at this point.
The pattern doesn’t seem to have any effect over the action & Matt Snyder fished with one for a full season with 0 issues. They are scary, you might want to black out the top 2’ as not to scare fish on the 8.
The cost $150.00, Just $20.00 more than the standard rod (our direct cost for imaging) These are the same Hulbert Armor rods with a thinner handle. Stop by and check them out.

VERY COOL !!!!!!!! Something very cutting edge, it is the same process that camo is apply to guns, & bows. Why are all you self appointed muskies master blasters so affraid of something different ??? Thanks guys for thinking outside the box !!!!!!!!

Maybe I am missing something but does the image go from the cork to the tip? If so, I want one...... definitely not the skulls, but something different. I can see it now - every new sparkly boat owner already needs a matching paint job on the tow rig so I guess the rods are next. Bring on the sparkly rods.

I saw the rod at the show, and I like the idea, but I'd only go a foot or two up the blank with the wrap intstead of the whole blank.
