| Hey guys, got a question for you. I'm relatively new to muskie fishing(first year last year). I was just wondering what your thoughts and oppinions are on power handles. Should a guy have them on all their reels or only for heavier lures? Just curious on what you all think. Thanks. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | Depends on what you like. I like them, a fellow angler I know doesn't and likes the dual paddles. There are some that are bigger and have two paddles (gatorgrips come to mind) and you can have the best of both worlds.

Location: oswego, il | Depends on the reel. If i am throwing lures with alof of drag then yes, I want a reel with a power handle. Just because it is a big lure does not mean you need one. Jerkbaits, crankabits that are big and twitched/jerked only need a reel to pick up the slack line so the power handle is not needed. I have actually tore the nut loose on the power handles using them for that application. |

| Thanks for the response guys. I have 2 reels I am using. I got a Tica ct201 and an Abu c4 6601. I thought maybe have one with a power handle for throwing cowgirls and large buck tails. |
