I'm going to make my own flaptail and colorado blades. Is there an easy way to cup them slightly after cutting them to size?

Thanks,

It seems like you could shape it by using the rounded end of a ball peen hammer like this one:

Do you have access to a hydraulic bearing press or an arbor press? If you do you could take a block of steel and grind the positive curvature onto it. Get a sheet of silicone rubber about 3/8” to ½” thick. Lay your blade material on the rubber then press the curved block of steel into it. It might work with a sledgehammer but it would be hit or miss. (pun intended) Good Luck.
