Posts: 145 | I was at the MN sportsmans show Wed afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of muskie related stuff there was. Thorne brothers, phantom lures, musky mayhem, and a few others were there. Thorne had their show specials. Phantom was taking custom orders for 9 and 12" baits. Musky mayhem had their new cowgirl colors and rods. Hedron also had a booth, which was cool. They had every single color of flashabou, including the new ones. Flashabou magnum was on sale for only $5. All in all, very cool. I picked up some hard to find flashabou at sale price and ordered a big phantom. Already spending money and the musky expo hasn't even come to town yet. Matt

The 12" phantoms look amazing. I ordered three. Todd said they are only making 250 of them

Posts: 256 | I went down last night. It was like a mini-muskie show. If you want to do custom cowgirls this would be the show to do it! Looked like there was little-to-no wait. I also put in an order for one of the 12 inch Phantoms. They look sweet!

Posts: 299 Location: Nowheresville, MN | Twiggy was the bomb! If anything this show sparked more interest for April. I'm looking forward to the new Medussa colors. I did get to see the new WI model Medussa at the Thornes booth though.:o Can't speak enough about the guys at Thornes. I heard a birdy say that a Thornes Outpost might, just might, be located somewhere in the West Metro in a few years! My fingers are crossed. Always fun to listen to Frankie. The gent tying at the Mayhem booth actually came and found me an ailse away to make sure I liked what he tied for me, good people.

Posts: 158 | I've been to dozens of sportshows over the years but today was my first time going just for new muskie toys....we got there right at 10 and every single person in those muskies booths was nice as could be....not trying to push anything on you and just loved to show musky pics and tell stories.....we had a great time. I actually showed a little self control and didn't feel the need to buy everything I touched! haha. I showed Brad Hoppe from Musky Mahem a pic of my 51" that I got on a DCG last summer and he reached over and gave me a "Team 50" hat - pretty cool. Musky Mayhem also has one of the best T shirts I've seen in quite a while....for those that haven't seen them, the back has a big muskie on it and in great big letters it says, We Love Fat Chicks! hahaha....I had to have one. Good stuff. Great show, can't wait for the Expo in April! Gotta start saving the pennies or donating plasma because I feel that show is going to put my wallet in the hurt locker. haha. Posts: 341 Location: Passaic, NJ - Upper French River, ON | I will not be going to the show. Those who will can atone for themselves by repeating the following on the way to the show ... *OUR FATHER* Our Favre-who art in Mississippi hallowed be thy name. Thy bowl will come, it will be won, In Miami as it is in the Dome. Give us this Sunday, Our weekly win. Give us touchdown passes, but do not let others pass against us. Lead us not into frustration, but deliver us to the Super Bowl. For thine......... is the MVP, the best of the NFC, and the glory of the Purple People Eaters now and forever Amen

Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | i got a chance to stop at the show and meet both bob turgeon and dave fenner which was a cool surprise. it's been many years playin around on the message boards and was nice to meet a couple guys i've learned from over the years. the musky area was active and the vendors that were there had some good stuff to show and to sell. the highlight for me was a product called jwheelz which is an affordable, innovative traction product for use on atv's. take a look ... www.j-wheelz.com pennies compared to the cost of track systems with similar value in either deep snow or where you might be running in iffy ice areas.
