I often feel dumb. D-U-M...dum. Like the time on Vermilion this year when I couldn't understand why the auto bilge kept going on. I was taking on water, but didn't know where. Couldn't be the plug. I never take it out. Must be a cracked livewell hose near the transom or something. Not wanting to ruin my week long trip, I thought I'd live with it and keep bilging. So, the first night I tried the boat off on the dock and headed in for a good nights sleep. The next morning, my 621 was nearly half submerged! Not sure why the auto bilge wasn't coming on. I pumped the water out and put the boat on the trailer intending to head to the nearest marine dealer. A quick look and the culprit was? The plug. I had pulled it when power washing the carpet before the trip and forgot to put it back in. Like I said, D-U-M...dum. hehe
