Kersey,

Use Devcon 2 ton epoxy to attach your lip, it is tough as nails.
1. I add a center line on the bait near the nose and belly so you can see the lip alignment when it's installed.
2. I also have a center line on the lip (template still attached to lip).
3. I put the lip in the slot and mark a line on the lip template showing where the exposed part of the lip starts.
4. I remove the template up to that line and I rough the lip up a little with some sand paper.
5. Mix up your D2T, mix well.
6. Add some D2T into the lip slot ( i usually use a toothpick or SS wire scrap).
7. Put D2T on sanded part of the lip.
8. Install lip and use the center reference lise you made on the bait and lip to align perfectly. I wipe off the extra but leave a little to seal any gaps.
I clamp a vice grip piliers to the tail screw eye and then clamp that into a bench vice and orient it so i can see the lip/bait. make your fine adjust mants and wait for it to cure.
I hope that helps. I'll be adding lips to abot 10 today as we got around a foot of snow last night and the wind id whipping around 30 MPH so i'm snowed in
