Posts: 512 Location: Appleton | The day started out like so many I've been involved with during the late fall. It was cold, windy, and a bit overcast but ended with the same amount of wind, some sun but 7 muskies in the boat with sizes from 39.5" to 46". The first fish came around 9am with the second not far behind at 9:30am. At that point I looked at my buddy Greg and said we might as well get off the water and hit breakfast as it's already been quite a day. We decided to continue fishing as it was the last time we could hit this lake for 5+ months and we devoted the day to fish even though I have plenty of other things I should be doing. Well fish 3 came around 10:45am then #4 at 1:15pm and #5 came at 2:30pm and then we had a double at 2:45pm with over 90" of musky in the net all at once. Never knew I would get the chance to net a 44.5" musky with my 46" musky already in the net. I've read the late fall success stories of the past and had always hoped I'd have a November 30th to remember and today was the day. No Tom Gelb monsters just alot of fun and what might be the finale to an already successful season. In all we got a 39.5, 39.5, 42, 43.5, 41.5, 44.5, and 46" muskies. All fish were either on Pearson Plugs or Bucher Tackle with the largest coming on one of Fred's baits. Crazy day to say the least. I wonder what tomorrow would bring but It's over for this lake in 5 hours. Best of luck in December. ( will try to include pics just need to hope the resizer works) Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Posts: 95 | Wow! That is just AWESOME! As we all know too well sometimes, those days don't come around often so I think a little celebrating should be in the mix! Congrats! Chas Martin http://www.muskymastery.com Edited by cmartin 11/30/2009 11:22 PM

Posts: 512 Location: Appleton | The plan for the day was mainly hit some rocky spots we've caught a fish or 2 off in the past. One pass over and we noticed a ton of baitfish on the locater. Wasn't much more than 30 seconds later and we had a rip. Made 2 more passes and caught 3 more. Bait wasn't nearly as thick earlier in the day but when it showed up so did the muskies.

Posts: 62 | My hats off to you Jeff and your partner Greg on an awesome season finale. It's a great feeling to catch one fish let alone several fish in a day. I can't imagine what you were thinking when you had to find room in that net for two 40+" fish. Congrats!!
