Question. Thinking of going from a 620 to a 618T. I find that I mostly fish by myself or with one other and the lakes I fish are small enough to fish well with the 618. Anyone ever do this? Any regrets? What about the occational trolling run on Green Bay or trip to Vermilion?
Thanks
Chris

Thought the same, had a 620T and opted for the 618. Now I just sold the 618 and will be going back to the 620. I missed other things like storage as well, and just the over all comfort of the bigger boat.

Hiya,

I'm not using a fiberglass boat, but my rig is smaller than the 618T...maybe a touch wider with a 90 inch beam. It has worked well on Vermilion, Mille Lacs, Leech, and it has been on Lake superior as well. One time, it was out in 5-6 footers and was just too much to troll with. It was safe, though..

I'd say if you downsize, the 618 will be just fine.
