Posts: 3240 Location: Racine, Wi | Got out for some chrome on Saturday while taking a break from the ski's for a day. Glad I did. Even though I cut the trip short due to some pretty nasty waves (forecast called for 1-2, but waves were in the 4' range. Gotta love wave forecasts), we ended up putting 10 fish in the box in about an hour and 15 mins. We started losing the first one that hit a rigger right after I set it, then proceeded to put a triple in the box, and then pretty much non stop until we called it quits. Could have pulled a limit, but when we turned back south into the waves, we allllmost took a couple over the bow. Nooo thank you. For those of you that fish chrome, lines were set by 3:45 and we pulled them at 5. Spoons took 8 out of the 10 with moonshine spoons in flounder pounder and the "kryogenic adjustable groin puller" aka cyclonite doing super duty on the fish. We put the 2-4 year olds in the box on flasher and flys, one on glo and white, the other on glo and green. Back to shore by 6:30 (yeah, that was a looooong ride back in) and at the bar by 8. Now back to your regularly scheduled musky program. PS, too lazy to upload the pics, but they look like salmon before hitting the grill.

Posts: 225 Location: Nordeast Minneapolis | I know posting Canada fish is kind of cheating, but I just got home from a great vacation with my family, and I have to brag a little... Caught this on a homemade bucktail while fishing with my dad. He taught me everything I know, and this one is a personal best. 53", caught quickly, released well, and a WHOLE lot of fun. I'll remember this day forever. To all the basement builders, thanks for the inspiration, and motivation! Attachments ---------------- monster_small.jpg (62KB - 129 downloads)

Posts: 156 | Caught my personal best 40 1/2" this weekend on Middle Eau Claire north of Hayward. Caught around 7:30pm out of rocks and downed trees on a shallow invader the second time around in the 8. Unfortunately everyone else went into town and I was fishing by myself AND I had dropped my camera in the lake! This picture was taken in between cutting out hooks with the Knipex with my cell phone. You can see she was blind in one eye if you look close. Edited by Makintrax73 6/23/2010 9:51 AM Attachments ---------------- 40-5ski-2.JPG (103KB - 111 downloads)

Posts: 393 Location: Hopefully on the water | Got back from Indian Lake Chain and we got 7 in 2 1/2 days. We caught a 26, 33, 34, 36, 37 1/2, 39, and 1 around 40". 5 of the 7 were in the figutre 8. Double cowgirls were the ticket for us. We saw another 25 fish and lost a few of those. My 7 year old son reeled in 4 of them. He had HUGE smiles. I will try to post some pictures later. The 1 around 40" we couldn't get verified as when my brother inlaw went to take it out of the net for pictures the fish jumped out of the net and swam away. There was a moment of silence for just a little bit. Great trip just should have stayed longer.
