| Hi,
My c4 is piling up line on one side of the spool. The line guide gets stuck on the right side. I tried cleaning it but that did not help. Is this a pawl problem? I have never had this happen before. Any reccomemdations or advice would be appreciated

| Kyle you have mail. As for the probelm if there is a number I would call up abu garcia and ask them whats goin on and if your able to fix it. |

| I send all of mine to the Bass Pro Shops reel repair place. I've sent in reels there for a long time. Quick repairs. Low costs. And EVERY Abu reel that I've sent in has been covered by warranty.

| Kly, I think that you have a pawl problem allright. The way to tell is to reel and watch under the reel at the same time. Look in the area that the level wind "pawl" is. See if the device that guide the level wind is rotating. If it is, unscrew the pawl holder and reverse the pawl. Most of the time it is the leading edge of the pawl that is worn out. If this helps your problem order a new pawl and repair the reel yourself. Less time down and far less headaches wondering when your reel will be back. |
