| Just wanted to give some credit where credit is due. I sent two HR gliders off to Fred Pearson of Pearson Plugs shortly after Labor Day and got them back earlier this week. Fred did a fantastic job refurbishing these lures. One of the lures was badly gouged from the middle hook and Fred got it looking like new. I would highly recommend Fred Pearson to anyone looking for a painter. |

Location: oswego, il | Very nice! I do believe i will be sending some baits. You take the old stuff off even if they are not quite the shape those are in? Reason i ask is that i sent some to a person once and they just painted over the bait, regardless of condition. |

| Nice job.
I love restoring old HR's. So many guys continue to use them even after the clear coat has been compromised and the wood takes on water and swells up and cracks the whole thing. All of that can be avoided if everyone took care of their wood lures....especially cedar.....and cover up the hook rash, teeth marks, chips etc, with some fingernail polish or 2 part epoxy. During the off season, go through your lures and touch up the bad spots and you won't ruin them.
But guys in the basement just love fixing up what isn't right.
