I have a "slide" type trolling motor vs. the "flip" type and do not have a universal transducer. I have had some problems mounting my transducer to the trolling motor and having the cord get wrapped up, cut up, etc when pulling up and putting down the trolling motor. Any suggestions on this? Any mounting tricks I should try or is this just a case of be more careful when loading/unloading the motor and watch the cord twist? Thanks in advance.

Zip ties top and bottom, allowing just enough slack to keep things tidy but not over-tight.
