Location: Valparaiso, Indiana | While up in Canada my Lowrance had an issue reading the Navionics chip. It would work good for a while then, all of a sudden the Lowrance would chirp and I'd get a message (UNABLE TO READ MMC CARD FORMAT). Does anyone have an idea if this is a software issue with my Lowrance, a card issue, or something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Russ |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | See if you can use your chip in a buddies Lowrance or any other unit. My guess is, the card got moisture on it somehow, their very sensitive in that aspect. |

Location: Irvine, KY | I have a humminbird that the card reader got messed up on... sent it back and they fixed it for free (still under waranty). so it may be your unit and not the card.... Id check it in another unit and see if it can read it first. |
