What's up guys, its starting to get to that time of year when some lakes start becoming questionable, I wanted to make this thread to see which lakes are still open and which lakes are locking up in southern Wisconsin, I know the channel on Twin Valley can lock up pretty quick with the temps we are having, other small lakes like Wingra can also lock up pretty quick. I was out on Monona on saturday, all the docks were pulled out at Olin park, make it tough to launch my buddies 620 but we got out, did not seen a fish but we seen some walleye guys land a decent musky while fishing for walleyes. Any reports would be great, I was thinking about hitting Twin valley monday for one last trip but we are debating cause the lake channel might be locked shut, well guys any help would be great.

I know people had to break ice on TV on Sat. but were still able to get out.
Wingra has skim ice around the shoreline and is ready to lock anyday. temps are 35.5-36.
Monona and wauby should still be open for at least another week or so.
Not sure about pewaukee.

tv should be fairly well locked up by monday..I wouldn't take the drive...Monona was fine today...just watch out on the landing...in the fall i carry cat litter and salt for the steep landings...didn't need it today but it always comes in handy if they get slick..

Drove by Monona today and just a little skim ice along the shorelines. Olin park ramps were all snowed in bring your shovel and salt/sand if you plan on going out. Bigman i was also out saturday i was the one who talked to you at the launch. I had the same result. Saw a few on Dawgs but no go. If the lake is not locked up with ice by the weekend and anyone is planning on going out and has a open spot in there boat i would love to go with. I put my boat away last weekend. Ill even do the shoveling and help with gas and what not.
