Posts: 2894 Location: Yahara River Chain | Yes, I did, but just what is a "waive"??? Also you don't have to give me a digit, being so blind, I might miss it. Save it for someone else. I don't know if the NBITE is going. I was only out last Tuesday (over a week ago) and it wasn't happening then.

Posts: 254 Location: In the cabbage | Any idea about the induron gear ratio being good for what use?
PIKEMASTER |
| ||
Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | The Induron reels are not made anymore, TORO 60 5.4:1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SKEET REESE REEL ARE FOR BASS !!!!!!!!

Location: Oswego, IL | Shotgunlew, I think you are getting to much different advice, your all over the place with this reel now. The higher the ratio the faster your speed. Cranking power will be lower gear ratio. From all the stuff your talking about, PIKEMASTER is right on, get something geared in the middle and you will not be upset because you can use it for about everything muskie.

Posts: 254 Location: In the cabbage | I have a couple of the guys I fish with telling me all different things , I want a lower gear ratio, I calcutta 201xt for a pretty good deal, I just dont know if its 2 small, I am sorry tho bout all the questions, I was a hardcore bass guy for 2 long!

Location: Oswego, IL | I dont mind you asking questions Lew, sorry to come off like that. Problem is if you have all your friends telling you all different things, then you get on the internet and ask more people you will be that much more confused on what to get. See what I mean? Narrow it down, how much money are you willing to spend? Are you cranking with your LEFT hand or Right? Price may will cut a lot of reels out Also if you are new to the muskie, IMO best and first thing to do before buying "THE" mack daddy reel, is get all the proper CPR tools first, then go nutz on other gear. Posts: 254 Location: In the cabbage | I have been muskie fishing my whole life just not the seriously, Ive caught some , But now im to the point that I eat sleep and breath esox fishing, IM hooked, and I have all the CPR tools (I think ) my fishing partner and best friend, his dads a diehard musky guy ( caught a 57 I wanna say ) use to fish with len hartman so he taught us alot BUT, When it comes to reels, I thought i knew a bunch until I bought a induron and it lasted a week.

Location: Oswego, IL | Lol yeah I assume you were trying to burn blades then, or ripping big plastic. Not the reel IMO. Toro has been tough, minor issues I hear if any. Not bad for 1st generation reel though. I will buy more as they come and cant wait for the "Winch" to get here, or as I say "Wench"

Posts: 2894 Location: Yahara River Chain | This reminds me of a guy that wanted his lake map marked. After 20 some guys marked the map, it had every rock and weedbed marked in the entire lake. Do you think he got some good advice on where to fish??? I think if someone is looking for info, give as much background detail on what where and when etc you are using it. This way you get the advice you need and are not all over the board like what we have here. Lew, my advice, pick out a couple of guys that you would trust here and try pm them and get what you need that way. This furom is doing you know good. Good luck.

Location: Oswego, IL | Nut, I would say that "guy" your talking about just got a HD version of a paper map, hopefully he saved it. Lew, talk to your buddies dad - much better chance to get non-bias answers and from what you said he is a die hard so he should know whats up. Good luck.
