Posts: 78 | Bait looks great! How did you preserve the skin? Was it put on in one piece or two (one for each side)? What type of adhesive do you use for real fish skin?

Posts: 7 | I first had just 1 zander fillet, this one layed in the fridge for 2 days. Then i cutted the skin of the fillet. I tried to make the skin free from the flesh what else was on it. After I did that, the skin had layed in the sun for about 6 hours. So the skin was totaly dry. I putted a thick book on the skin with a piece of toilet paper on both sides of the skin. Then I made the jerkbait out of a scrap of wood, and sealed the jerkbait for 2 times with envirotex epoxy, so it was nice and smooth. The last remainings of the dried flesh I removed with a litte knife(just rubbing over it). i copied the bait on the skin, 2 times, and0 I cutted out the kopied forms of the bait, and sticked it on the jerkbait with 1-second glue. Then just envirotexed the bait again for 2 times and polished the bait afther the first layer of epoxy, so it was smooth again to be airbrushed! A little detail, the eyes I used are home-made!

Posts: 7 | Thanks! At this moment I have been making baits for about 2 years. I will post some more baits I made in a couple of days, if you would like to see some. I really enjoy to make baits, and catch fish with them! greetz, Simon.
