Cost: FREE!!! Lodging available for $39.00 per night!! Or $10.00 per person with quad occupany!!
Limited to 24 people.
I have reserved an island on Lake Minnetonka for a midday cookout and hang out!!!
Lake Minnetonka is approx. 14,000 acres of fishable water. Heavy recreation lake with ALOT of fishing spots. Busy time of year for the lake so middays will be spent off the water. Fishing will be at "Prime times" early mornings until 10 am and late afternoon/evenings until dark.

| CMunger & Muskie Treats I'm looking for someone who needs a fishing parter for Friday evening and Saturday morning. I have plans for the rest of the weekend. If you guys have filled up, if anybody else is looking for a boat partner let me know. I was going to fish Independence alone, but this seems a lot more fun and a better learning experience for this newbie. Tonka is one of the waters I would like to learn. I will watch the posts or email me. I probably would be able to get up there around 6pm on Friday and fish Saturday morning until we get run off by the recreation riders. Thanks.

| Well, I am going to have to temporarily shelf my offer until I know exactly what is going on, because I am working on changing my match vs Richard Collin to sometime that weekend. D2E could work out well if we end up with a Sunday match, cuz my brother and I are gonna have to bust out some Lake X action if we hope to unseat those pros. A Saturday match could well derail my plans to attend.
So in summary, currently I am waiting to hear back from Richard. That weekend not working will mean that I will be there all the time, and so will be looking for a full-time boat partner (only room for a total of 2 muskie casters in my 17' Crestliner). A saturday match will mean I will not be there. A sunday match will mean I will be there Fri night/Saturday morning, and so a perfect fit for D2E's availability.
Are we actually fishing Friday day, just Friday night, or is Fri night just a social? Anyone? Schedule? Anyone? Shady? |

| Personally I would prefer to fish at least some on Friday evening. Since I am able to only fish through Saturday morning I would like to get as much time on the water as possible.

Go right ahead and fly by me. That just means that the cops will tag you and I'll fly by as they're filling out your ticket [:bigsmile:] . I can't say I've even had a follow on Phantoms this year. Last year they were hot. Jerko's and squirko's have been the hot jerks this year. Lots of small fish around, but the big girls are still a little shy. I've talked to some people on the lake and everyone's puzzled about it. Give it a week and we'll see. |

Is there a speed limit on tonka? They really enforce that 35mph on white bear, every power boat and jetski does at least 45-50 past ya! I will hypnotyze those girls out there with the phantom, don't you worry!

Tonka's got a 40 mph limit, but your probably safe up to 45. On the weekend it's so wavy that you can't go that fast anyway if your in less then a 30' offshore racer. |

Really...I have to say, I had no idea. I've gone WOT by the Sheriff's Patrol before, thank god I max out somewhere between 42-46, depending on load.
PS: I'm still waiting to hear from Richard regarding the matchup, so I'm still up in the air a little bit. |

| There is a place to camp near Lake Minnetonka:
Great campground! Only $10.00 per night - 5 minutes from Lake Minnetonka. I know this place cause I go there a lot. Theres a DQ nearby as well. Very nice clean place.
LAKE AUBURN CAMPGROUND - 54 sites plus 2 hike-in sites. Rustic camping - pit latrines (wheel chair accessible), hand pump, no showers, no electricity. RV dump station (for a fee). Daily fee: $10/site plus parking fees. Near Victoria on Carver County Road 11 between Highway 5 and Highway 7. Phone: 952/443-2911.

| My Dad and I are going to be in Canada on Souix Narrows until Sat the 27th. I may be able to fish Sun morning but at the least I will come out on Sun and deliver the trophy. Is there a planned lunch or dinner Sunday night for the group?
