Random quote: "Give those #*^@ pliers. You're gonna put one of his eyes out." -Fatfingers to his lifelong fishing partner, whose hands still shake uncontrollably with excitement whenever he boats one even after 15 years of musky fishing.

I would like to invite you to the 18th Annual Kevin Worral Memorial Musky Classic held at Gerrits Lakeview in Pelican Lake on Sept 12. the entry fee is $100.00 per boat which includes your entry fee, a tournament hat, dinner and a chance to win a lot of prizes given by our great sponsors. We are only allowed 125 boats so get your entries in soon. All of the proceeds from this tournament goes directly to the Ronald McDonald House. A great time is had by all. If you would like us to send you some more on the tournament you can contact us at 715-487-5290 or email me at sggerrits@ frontiernet.net and we will send you out some immediately.

Hope to see you there

This one is a ton of fun, too. Sure, the competition is there, but most folks are happy just to be there, fish for a day, and have a great shot at winning prizes worth more than the entry fee while benefiting the Ronald McDonald House in memory of my son, Kevin without catching a single fish. MuskieFIRST will be there again covering the event. See you there!

Just want to add that the Ronald McDonald House is a great organization. My daughter has some health problems and my wife and I have had the opportunity to see what organizations like this do for families/kids in need. Great job on the tournament and for a good cause!!! Hope you get a lot of support/donations again this year.

I fished this one last year and it is a blast. I saw more fish on that blasted lake than I've seen in my entire life, but did we catch one? NO! Great tournament, I'd fish it again if 2000+ miles didnt seperate me from Pelican. Though maybe it is good I'm far far away from that lake, it hates me.

This is a great tournament to fish. I have fished it the past 3 years and have had fun every time. I plan on fishing it again this year even though the muskies seem to avoid my baits as well on Pelican. In the end, you know your dollars are going to a great cause.

Can't agree more Hatcher, a great tourney and all for a great cause. Maybe this year that big one will hit again, and this year we will stick it. We have to put one in the boat one of these years.

We are getting alot of great response from contestants and our sponsors. The Ronald McDonald House is a worthy cause!!! Openings are still available and we are always looking for new sponsors. The action on Pelican Lake is starting to pick up!! My husband got a tiger the other day and we have some great photos of fish that were caught this year (especially one huge musky!!) Stop in and see what 's in Pelican !

Fish??? In Pelican???

I took a picture of said husbands Tiger, and followed it up with two tigers of my own two nights later. Some strange tiger frenzy in Pelican possibly??

If you aren't a competitive fisher, this is still an event for you. There is a little money on the line but they feed you, nearly everyone walks away with a prize, and it helps a great cause. Just Fish It!

Norm,
Give Gerrit's a call if you have a chance and remind them to contact Smokey's for a few donations. John told me he wants to contribute, and they forgot him the last couple years.

for those of us not in the loop on this, a few little details would make it easier to consider participation. Top of the list would be location. I know of a Pelican Lake in Minn, in S.Dak, in Wis. and at least 2 in Canada.

I know some fisherman wanted to know if I heard of any fish being caught on Pelican so I thought I would let you know that last week a 48 1/2 was caught and a 47 was caught this morning. Hopefully this keeps up.

Good Luck Fisherman!!

I just talked to Gary and he said that he is moving fish on every color under the sun, but he would suggest natural colors
