This morning I get to the lake and fire up the outboard, and it won't start. The motor never got to even turn over. All I get is the clicking/chattering sound from the solenoid when I turn the key. First thing I thought was that my battery was dead, but when I get home and hook up the charger it shows a full charge.

I know my charger is working because I use it to also charge up the trolling motor batteries and I've had no problems at all with it. It'd been about a week since I took it out and had no problems at all, then I get this out of nowhere. Any ideas?

First I would check and clean all the connections at the battery and at the starter and solenoid. Then it is still a no go I would look at the chager to make sure the bank that charges the starting battery isn't dead. If still a no go do a load test on the battery to check its condition. I think you will probably find a bad or dirty connection. Good luck.
