There's an old saying in the retail business. You always hear about the bad but never the good. I thought this would be a good time to give mention of some of the good. I purchased a reel (wont say what kind) which was recommended by the staff and loved it! After using the reel for 4 weeks I noticed a noise in the reel that concerned me. I took the reel back to the retailer and they gave me a new one no questions asked. This experience is not the first and is the reason I continue to shop at this retailor. I'm not an employee of this company but I do work in the retail business which is why it gets my attention. This may be common knowledge to some of you but I tip my hat too no other than.

No surprise. Thorne's is far and away the best in the business. No better place to get honest information on new equipment, and always fun to stop in and harass Pat.

They are top notch, not doubt about it. They just seem to go above and beyond with every call I make to them. I like too that if they're too busy, they'll be "real" about it and ask if I can call back later. (That happened to me a couple weeks ago) I actually appreciate that. I appreciate not being put on hold or hearing the guy on the phone talk to another customer while I'm trying to place an order. I bought my Terrova there, my X27, my Beckman...pretty much every thing "muskie" I get comes from them.

But they're always for me, next day on email replies and I just can't say enough about them. Add to that they're co-housed with the Fly Angler and I just about wet myself everytime I pull into their parking lot. I'm just glad Mom and Dad live in Brainerd and I have reason to go to MN a couple times a year and make my pilgrimage to Thorne's. In fact, I'll be there in a couple of week when I head up for vacation.

Thorne Bros is a good shop. I hate going there though. The wallet always is a little lighter when I leave Looking forward to seeing the new shop up by Mil Lacs too.
