| A local dealer has a new, never in the water, 2001 1900 Pro-V Limited Edition. I like the room compared to my 217f Stratos. Comments about this model? |

| I've got a 98 1900 with a 100 hp tiller.The hulls are
different,mines probably running 75 less power.The room
is wonderful.I've only had tillers is 35 years .
I would suggest a hydraulic jack plate on that hull so
you could lift for speed ,but more importantly ,bury that
prop.It might really enhance rough water handling and
ride.
In 2 footers it is a wet ride! |

| i HAVE A 99 1900 PRO V SE AND DO NOT HAVE THE ROUGH RIDE NOR THE WET RIDE. COULD BE THE MAX HP (200)AND ADJUSTABLE JACKPLATE I AM USING. WHEN IT GETS ROUGH I CRANK THE MOTOR DEEPER IN THE WATER AND IT GETS SMOOTHER AND DRYER THE FASTER YOU GO. LOTS OF ROOM AND I DONT WORRY ABOUT SCRATCHING THE GELCOAT! TO EACH HIS OWN. |

| The LE has the setback console? It should be a smoother ride back there.
Anybody can get wet in any boat in two-footers. Depends how they drive it. I have a new(now muskie friendly) Lund 1700 Angler SS. 2 footers in this boat are no problem, the ride is not rough, and I stay dry,..... IF I drive it to stay dry. Been in three footers plus with it, and yes, it's not a Ranger 620, or a Tuffy 1990, ride-wise. It's also not $36K plus! It's wide, stable, lots of room, and sits level in the water. I really like fishing out of it. I think I've got a boat I will be happy with for several years.
Ask this dealer get you a demo ride in that boat, or one of his ProStaff boats. That's one of the reasons they have ProStaff members. Insist on a demo ride.
Tight Lines,
