Hey all,
Just wanted to let you guys in on a rod that i have been using to throw my Pounders and 2lbers. I bought it for 70 dollars, on sale, at Ramsey Outdoor where I work. Its called the Tsunami Magnum series rod. The model I have is 7 foot and XXH. It is rated for line from 30-80 pound test I believe. It is a great rod for the money, and handles the pounders very well, and can even throw the 2lbers. I am hoping to try it out this weekend if i can pick up my new Saltist 30HA before. I used the rod last weekend with my old Corvalus, and the rod held up great with the pounders, need a better reel though. The rod is fairly light, with thick cork handles. Just for the record, i own two of these rods for muskie and they are excellent. If anyone wants a good rod for throwing the heavy stuff, definitely take a look at this rod.

And, no, I am not a Tsunami spokesperson.

Good luck!
