Up in Oneida County. Gonna spank some bass and gills, maybe a crappie or two, and fish muskies in the evenings. Just redid the front deck on the 1690 adding about 18" for the butt seat, so I'm ready to go puddle jumping until my new X190 T arrives.

Suburban is packed and the boat is all ready to go. Headed out the door to Bay Store Camp to chase muskies on LOTW for a week.

Might walk down to the park early tomorrow morning to chase some fish... no muskies at all. But the bass fishing is decent. Bleh.

The boat is vacuumed. The boat is washed. The boat has the cover on it. The boat is hooked up. The boat is staged for launch out of my garage. Hooks are sharpened. Moon charts/fishing clocks are printed. Dry goods are loaded. Refrigerated goods are on stand by in the fridge. Extra leaders are made. Specialty baits are made. Extra headlamp purchased. Reels oiled and ready. Take-off is 3:30 am to pick up my partner. Wife and kids are in NC. "Reach Down" by Temple of the Dog is jammin' on the stereo while I sip a Heineken. In 15 hours I'll be tossing my first cast on Big V. Toss, reel, 8, repeat for 7 days. Just got off the phone with Luke Ronnestrande who'll be guiding us Sunday. Reports are that sporadic fishing means long hours to score. Sounds like heaven. Trip has been planned since December and the time has finally come....wish me luck!

This weekend will keep me from the lake, I have a family wedding to attend. Plus I'm supposed to be at the Gift Opening tomorrow to see how many toasters, candle holders, and napkin rings that they got! I can't wait!
We gave them cash and a set of "his and hers" Slammer Crankbaits.
Atleast they will have one decent present to open!
Before we go I get to scrub the muskie poop that Sam Ubl's 43"er left on my front deck of my Esox Magnum!....Thanks alot Sam!

I'm not going to fight the holiday weekend crowds (yes, the 24th is a state holiday in Utah; Pioneer Day). I'm planning on taking a mid-week day next week to give it a shot. Besides, it's just been miserably hot here for about a week - hopefully it will cool down a bit.

I'll be right here in Oneida County. I went out row-trolling last night by myself for the first time and got an upper 40" musky...what a rush!!! Then a friend joined me in the boat, we got poured on and the boat was too heavy to row so we started casting. I got one a little under 40" on a Curly Sue, had another one right around 40" grab the tail right by the boat and then continue to follow the bait to no avail, and my friend got a little guy on right at the boat with a Double Cowgirl that shook the hooks. All in all, not a bad start to the weekend!!!
Probably do a little more row-trolling if the boat dries out. I'll try to get a pic off of the video camera of the fish I got and get it posted soon.
Good luck to everyone and I'm jealous of Cowboy and Jerome!!! Get some big ones guys!
