Are they still printing the magazine? My local tackle shop hasn't had any new issues and their web site still advertises the winter issue

I recently spoke with a frequent contributor to the magazine, asking what the story was. The contributor said something to effect that they are done. Sad but apparently true. Drag that I had about two years left on my subscription...

There is a thread on here about that someplace, use search. I emailed their website asking if they were going to contact subscribers letting them know what's the scoop. Never heard back, though.

unless I missed it that other thread didn't say whether it was done or not.
It is kind of surprising they didn't send a letter out or something to all of their subscribers, and just leave us in the dark except for these threads.
what about our money we paid in advance for future issues? Will this be refunded? Since JSondag is on here all the time maybe he can find out.

it's a done deal- closed their doors
really a shame too
don't think any subscribers will get money back
they are insolvent which means there is no $$$
hopefully an "official" press release comes out soon
i know i will miss the magazine

Anyone know if the Esox Angler store in Hayward is closed? I'd like to stop in and pick up a few back issues and say thanks for the wonderful mag before it's gone too!

What a sad day! I recieved both MH and EA! It was with great anticipation each time the EA mag arrived! The articles were great! First class magazine! I'm shocked today to find this out!

Not online much since the season is in full swing - Sad day indeed. We are trying to work out some financial issues, so we can hopefully make some sort of amends with our subscribers. We are proud of the magazine we put out. Unfortunately, we just aren't big enough to survive the times. It has been a painful 2008/2009 an we are force to shut the doors. Last I spoke to my partners in Hayward, the store was still open through Musky Fest. We have a ton of back issues and Pastikas is handling most of our clothing.

Thanks for all the kind words on the mag. I will miss it as well. Hopefully in the future we will find a pot of gold and bring it back!

What about turning the magazine into an "online" magazine like the Simply Fishing one?
