I managed to pick up a muskie tackle box and a bunch of muskie lures for a 100 bucks and being very new to this not sure what they are and when I should use them. I will be fishing Kinkaid in southern IL primarily.

Let me know if I did good!

There are so many fish in Kinkaid, so long as there are baitfish around (shad) there will be muskie around...It is a beautiful lake to fish and fun to learn as well..

That was a steal for $100. The tackle box alone costs about $100 new. Throw about 40 baits on top of it? Great way to get started. Nice work!

If the person you bought the gear from fished Kinkaid just snap on the ones with the most hook rash on a go from there. Most baits have the most hook rash for a reason, they work.
