any repots for the area? ill be up over the 4th and looking to get a line wet. ill be on petenwell,and the river downtown rapids...... im considering heading up to point but I dont know the water well- any reports on recent action would be great.

well anyway, got my line wet 40 1/2, 37- on pete one was near the elbow, the other came off one of the many islands on the river end-

got out again today, 38 near the sand bar down town,41 at the y in the river on the way past geleke park to plover- lost another barley leagal at the boat up under stora enso-------- I havent had a three fish day since wingra a few years ago

if you use the landing before DE landing, head up the shoreline to the elbow and it came from that first point 9-11 fow, on smaller bucktail- black/orange/yellow bou- copper blade/ we also had a strike but no hook up in the main river channel before pete goes into the river, in 16fow/ dcg trolling- all we saw was an airborne fish, we circled around and made a few other passes but no takers,l then from the same point straight accross there is a small grassy island, with another smaller clump of grass, its real shallow and lily pads all around them, caught on a slither.

the same bucktail caught 2 other fish over the weekend, one was my brothers and the other was my fathers- three fish/one lure all on the river, im going to make sure I buy another-

some great fishing eric and good reporting, thanks.
Next year I plan on getting out to the Pete, am retiring and reports like yours sure are helpful in prep and exciting my anticipation. Dean
