I'm looking at buying a ss prop. I have a 17.5 crestliner with a 125 merc. alum prop is 12.75 x 21. Looking at a ss 13.5 x 21 or 22. what does the dia. change?
If I stay the same size and pitch how much will my rpm's drop?

Diameter helps give the prop more grip. If you go up in diameter you would likely drop rpms from what you have now on the top end. It could give you a better hole shot if you are slipping now, or if you have a good hole shot now it might really slow you down getting on plane. Either way, the larger diameter is harder for the motor to spin because it pushes more water, which can either be good or bad depending on what you are trying to do.
