| Was thinking on making one last trip to the Goon over the Labor Day weekend. I have never fished it at this time of the year and was wonderin' if any of you guys have fished it this time of the year? Do the fish become totally rock related, or do they still relate to the weed/rock areas, or even some of the more heavily weeded areas? I noticed a little bit of a bloom when we were there in July and was also wondering how heavy it gets this time of the year?
Thanks in advance,

| I have only fished the Goon once for three days. Very impressive water I might add. From talking with Steve Worrall it is still a good weed bite in September. I would recommend more jerkbaits like the Undertaker in my opinion, at least they were hot when I was there two weeks ago. With the warmer water temps this season on most waters the Goon could be prime in September.
Good Luck, |

| I caught my biggest to date on Labor Day in 1994. The fish were shallow, and weed related on the 21/2 to 4 foot breaklines. We had three pigs that weekend on bucktails, and only one day of fishable weather. GO! Call Shannon at Indian Point Camp, she will give you a great deal on lodging! |

| Thanks Steve, sent Shannon an email and waiting for reply. Even if they can't hook me up will still make the trip somehow, even if I have to sleep in the boat[;)] .
