I recently bought a dbl 10 marabou homemade bucktail at a local bait shop and when I throw it the blades WILL NOT spin at all. When I looked at it, it seems there is no play and the beads are a little tight to the clevises so they can't spin. Anyone have any thoughts on a quick fix or better off taking it back? Thanks

If it is to tight try to pintch the twist at the top to make more room. Also take a look at the clevis and make sure it is a true U shape if it is not then no matter what you do they will not trurn the way they should. If that is the case take it back if you can. I had a similar problem with the Dominatrix and had to have 4 of them redone because even after the twist was compressed the blades still did not turn. I had a freind look at them and he changed the clevis's and they have worked fine ever since.

Just as guest said, also if you get one of the beads that are not metal, cut one out just to make room, There should be play in it regardless

Just popped a bead or two off a couple of mine, to tighten up the size a tad. Even the metal beads can be popped loose with a vise grips. The bead will open at the seam, then simply pry it off the wire shaft with a smaller pliars or screw driver.

I was out with wers4455 this morning and he showed me the bucktail. It will not spin because of the tight wire wrapped and no play in the beads/clevis on the shaft. It had a couple of what looks to be glow beads on the shaft and I cut one in half and removed it and gave the thing a 1/2 of a bead's worth of play. It works now.

Jamie thanks for taking me fishing!!!
