I'm trying to get a reel for my wife for fishing ski's and I realized that I have an older Abu toro, not the revo, that I got a great deal on a few years ago. You guys think it would stand up to handling small bucktails and topwater? Thanks

Whats the worse thing that could happen? The gears strip out and then you have to buy a new reel?

I'd try it first and if forced to buy a new reel you'll have your answer.
