Location: SE Wisconsin | Well, we sucked on Three Lakes again, but 1/3 of the field of I believe 62 boats were on 'em. At least 11 or 12 teams doubled up with maybe three of those teams tripling - 5 teams doubling Saturday, all before 8 am! Total of 37 fish registered with a lengthy number of shorties reported through the grape vine. Weather was stable on Saturday, yet cold in the morning with temps at 38 degrees when we left the cabin at 5 am. Sunday was in the mid-forties early in the morning, barely surpassing 50 by late with the rolling mist hovering over the water nearly the entire day till' noon. I believe I overheard the winners talking about a legal fish they had on until it was attacked by another musky of similar size. . . Pretty neat! First fish on Saturday came around 6:40ish, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), and the Wojtusik's with the first fish on Sunday at 6:14am!!

Posts: 1057 Location: Medford, WI | Seems hard to say that it was a tough bite with that many fish registered, but it really was...for the lakes we were fishing at least. We were the last to ease out and we saw the Wojtusiks coming flying in to the registration just as we were hitting the no wake zone from ease out!!! Impressive. I also got to meet a fell M1ster....good talking to you Sam. I believe there were 10 teams that doubled as we had the smallest double and got 10th place. The first place team (Mayer/Mayer) had an impressive triple, with two fish over 40" and then a 39.5" I believe. I'm not sure aout the first fish on Saturday. Weather was ridiculous on Sunday, but I can't complain with the action we had. Got our money back, so we're looking forward to fishing Mohawksin and/or Minocqua in two weeks. -Jake Bucki

Posts: 215 Location: Wisconsin | We ended up tied for last in this one. We lost a huge one on Saturday when the front was moving in. Had her up to the boat but never had a shot at netting her. Wonder if the weather is ever going to cooperate when I fish tournaments! At least it wasnt as windy as last year! Congrats to all who placed (and to those who got on the board)

Posts: 402 Location: Eagle River, WI | I was out there too and I couldn't get anything going. I watched wojitusiks double up near me on sunday and there were alot of other boats catching fish all around us but I just couldn't get anyting to work for us. It's hard to get blanked on your home water but that's the way it goes some times.
