Subject: suick question

Does anyone know how far the front eyelet on a suick goes into the lure?
Has anyone had it come out or fail?
I have a few old lures with front beat up from hitting rocks; should I be concerned about the eyelet pulling out?
I just want to know if I have to retire the lures for fear of losing a fish.

It goes in about an inch and a quarter. I had some get beat up on rocks and they lost some wood on the front end so I put some tape around the front end and then poured a new "face" with Devcon 2 ton epoxy. After it dried I had a new facial reconstruction on two suicks and they run great, the eye is solid and no more chipping on the face.
