need to know if anyone has a sorce for the black face plate
material that the gauges go in. I'mm installing new gauges and switches
and need to make a custom faceplate. Thanks for the help.

| I used aluminum plate to cover holes such as this. Use stainless screws to secure instead of steel or brass so they don't rust or break down to galvanic reaction. |

Location: Antioch, IL | Get a 1/4" sheet of black Lexan. You could also get a sheet of thick gauge Polypropylene (I've only worked with up to 55ga., but I think it comes in 130(ish)gauge. There is a company called Western Plastics (I think in Addison, IL) You can google them. Once you get your layout set up try contacting a smaller local silk screen shop and see if you can get them to print whatever info you need on it (Bilge, nav. lights, etc.....or personalize it w/ custom art/ logo). You could probably sweet talk them into a sample run price for something like this. Better yet find one who likes to fish.
....or how about diamond plate. That could look friggin sweet. |

Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | Try the guys who "pimp my ride". Or at least your local automotive audio shop for your custom job. They have a variety of blank stock mterial they can work with. I'm headed to sound advantage in Chicago this week for a custom face plate to go with a new stereo in my boat. I'd like to see what else gets posted. |
