We raised a couple on Friday and saw one fish yesterday. Its the first time this season I have had a drought of more then 3 days without a fish.

Fished the Michigan opener Friday, stuck a 25" Tiger which is always welcome for the first fish of the year! Saturday I didnt bother going out in the gale force winds and snow, today we cleaned things up and headed home early.

Braved the wind Saturday---it was fire up the kicker and use bowmount for steering kind of windy out there.....boated two smallish skis, raised two others, and lost one. Today lost a nicer fish---all action on BG twitch bait. Overall had a good time but am windburned.

I did yard work all sat....but hit the lake this afternoon for crappies...I feel sorry for anyone trying to get a fish today! When your sight fishing crappies and they turn up their nose...you KNOW its a tough bite

got enought for a meal...and saw a couple muskies as well swimming shallow.

fish were moving fairly good friday/saturday ...put 2 in the net friday, action from 20, 5 in the net saturday to 40" with a crazy amount of action from 41 fish, moved 9 today fishing less, with one 33"er shaking off ...didn't see any real big ones but action from 70 over 3 fairly tough days weather wise, I won't complain... ; )

Fished monona yesterday. Raised three and missed two. Had a nice 40"er come and slam my jerkbait about 10' from the boat but did'nt get the hooks in her. Caught alot of average pike. Saw a ton of crappies, might have to give them a try in a few days.

fished the indiana musky classic over the weekend and brought home 2nd place out of 85 boats with a 43.25 and a 40 incher. not bad for a couple of every four or five weekend warriors. congrats to the boys from minnesota, mike lundberg and craig berryhill. very tough team. third was the king brothers from right here in indiana also. fourth was the kelleys from west virginia with the big fish of the tournament, a 48.5 incher. tough weather. only around 30 fish caught. todd

Went out Sunday with tough water conditions , still a little high but water is falling and trying to clear up a little, no fish sighted or caught.
Tough day but still better then a good day at work.

Had a tough weekend of fishing. Did pretty well filming smallmouth on Thursday, then was supposed to get out on the resort lakes on Saturday but the weather didn't let us. Sunday got out in the afternoon and did terrible on the bass. Yesterday was real strange, talked to other fishermen that also struggled, thought it would be quite good. I guess my insticts aren't as sharp as they used to be!

Dane and I were only able to get out for about 3 hours on Friday. It was a good time though w/ a 34" fish gracing our net. Hopefully I'll be able to burn some comp time this afternoon on the water.

J.Sloan,
108 walleye anglers found the same to be true on Petenwell. It was a very tough bite.

Managed to get out yesterday with the wife on Waubesa, no luck. Did see a few hunkered down in the shallow weeds, could have poked them with my rod if I wanted.... Heading out tomorrow, unemployment is fun!

Fished for the first time on Pewaukee . We were in the Wisconsin Lutheran High School tourney. I saw, what I would guess, to be a 50 incher behind my lure. She took a lazy strike and missed the lure on a figure 8. Didn't get her, but it is the biggest fish I've ever seen behind my lure. That made the day for me!

mrmatt, a 50" class fish is pretty uncommon for the Pewaukee skis , especially for this time of year.
good job!

Congrats to all who caught fish in the Indiana Musky Classic this weekend. It was an extremely tough tourney. It shows how big of a part the weather has on fishing. A total of 32 fish caught in 3 days with close to 100 boats. Congrats to 1st place Craig Berryhill and Mike Lundberg, 2nd place Todd Williams and Mike Fausset, and 3rd place Jeff and Jason King.

Fished the Michigan Opener Saturday and Sunday, saw 1 fish which was 52 plus it followed around on the figure eight when slowly swam off. I fished a river which runs east and west, the wind was the worse I have ever fished in.

Fished a southern wisconsin lake and only put 2 pike in the boat. Very windy conditions on Sat. made it interesting. Had a low 40's fish follow on a shallow invader, but turned away at boatside. It's still always a good day on the lake.
